Christmas market with a heart: Böllinghaus Steel supports the Hilden/Haan child protection agency
Böllinghaus Steel is proud to support the important work of the Kinderschutzbund Hilden/Haan (Hilden/Haan Child Protection Agency). From 29 November to 1 December 2024, the Kinderschutzbund invites you to a festive event as part of the Hilden Christmas market under the motto ‘Together for Children’, which not only warms hearts but also offers valuable support for children and families.
We are pleased that our managing director Nina Härtel will be on site to support the stand on all three days. Her commitment shows how seriously Böllinghaus Steel takes its social responsibility.
Special highlights for sports and Christmas fans
One of the highlights of the Christmas market booth is the raffle, where fantastic prizes await the winners. The main prizes include:
- A game-worn and signed jersey from offensive lineman Nick Wiens, including an exclusive meet & greet.
- A football autographed by head coach Jim Tomsula.
- Other high-quality prizes from Rhein Fire that will delight any football fan.
These extraordinary prizes were made possible thanks to the support of Böllinghaus Steel. Max Paatz, managing director of Rhein Fire, personally delivered the prizes, thereby underlining the close cooperation and shared commitment to a good cause.
Focus on children: support for local projects
The proceeds from the raffle, as well as from the sale of handmade Christmas cards, homemade cookies and warm children's mulled wine, will be used for two important purposes:
1. Christmas gifts for children who would otherwise get nothing.
2. Funding for the AD(H)S project, which supports families of affected children with counselling and targeted assistance.
‘By participating in the Christmas market, we not only want to collect donations, but also draw attention to the important issues and projects of the Kinderschutzbund,’ explains Nadine Lichtenwimmer, managing director of the Kinderschutzbund Hilden/Haan.
A sign of solidarity and appreciation
The collaboration between Böllinghaus Steel, the Kinderschutzbund and Rhein Fire shows how important solidarity and social cohesion are. Every lottery ticket, every card and every biscuit helps to give children and families in Hilden and Haan a better future.
Our managing director Nina Härtel, who has been involved in the Kinderschutzbund's board for years, emphasises:
‘It makes me proud to be part of a company that takes social responsibility seriously and actively contributes to improving the lives of children.’
