By using sustainable and water-saving soaps, adorned with motivational slogans encouraging water conservation, we not only maintain hygiene but also instill an eco-conscious mindset in our team.
2. Sustainable Brochures
In our commitment to leading by example, we have taken steps to update our brochures sustainably. By overlaying the latest information, we minimize waste and embrace an eco-friendly alternative that benefits both our company and the environment.
3. Plastic Reduction in Deliveries
A testament to our team's ingenious initiative, we have successfully saved 3.11 tons of plastic since August 2021 by avoiding unnecessary plastic packaging in our deliveries. Therefore, we would like to thank our team members and customers who have supported this environmentally conscious endeavor.
4. Supporting the Ecosia Project
Böllinghaus Steel actively supports the Ecosia project, contributing to tree planting and environmental conservation with every Ecosia search. In addition, we have planted 134 cypress trees on our premises.
5. Green Energy Usage
Our headquarters in Hilden, Germany, operates exclusively on green energy sourced from Stadtwerke Hilden, derived from 100% hydropower. In Vieira de Leiria, Portugal, our mill operates with a mix of green energy sources, including natural gas, wind, and hydro energy.
6. Purchasing locally
At Böllinghaus Steel, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond business. In our german headquarter We cherish local products such as those from 'Röstzeit' (coffee) 'Römer Getränke' (water), regional Fruits from “Gladbachs Bauernmarkt” and many more. Supporting these local businesses aligns with our goal of reducing emissions and contributing to the overall well-being of our community.
